Ruffino
Colour: Ruby red with garnet hues
Aroma: A very classic Chianti Classico bouquet with notes of violets, cherries, plums and inviting spicy sensations. It is elegant and lush, inviting yet subtle, featuring all the distinctive characters of a great Chianti Classico.
Tasting profile: Full bodied, with a generous, fruity core, where the notes of cherries and small berry fruits intertwine with sensations of Mediterranean herbs, such as rosemary and thyme, and hints of oak. The alcohol is well-integrated in the structure and the tannins are impressive, yet round and soft. The aftertaste is very long and reminiscent of violets, nutmeg, plums and sweet tobacco.
Wine Advocate
The 2004 Chianti Classico Riserva Ducale Oro remains the bellwether wine from this historic property. It is a layered, full-bodied wine with attractive notes of tobacco, sweet red cherries, wild herbs and toasted oak. The wine’s density, persistence and complexity make it one of the better versions in recent memory. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2022.

Wine Enthusiast
There’s a distinctive mineral aspect that sets this wine apart. Those aromas recall white stone or slate and enhance the wine’s elegance and food pairing potential. The mouth is bright and ripe with red cherry and fresh berry notes on the close. It would pair well with braised meat.

Sustainable practices incorporate organic standards and may exceed them and include ecologically and socially sound business practices such as fair pay for farm workers and energy conservation.
Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.

Accepting no advertising, the newsletter publishes in excess of 7,500 reviews per year, utilizing Parker's rating system that employs a 50-100 point quality scale.
Wine Spectator
Wine Spectator is a lifestyle magazine that focuses on wine and wine culture. It publishes 15 issues per year with content that includes news, articles, profiles, and general entertainment pieces. Each issue also includes from 400 to more than 1,000 wine reviews, which consist of wine ratings and tasting notes.
