The 2008 Frank Family Vineyard's Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon leads with generous aromas of dark chocolate, black cherry and spice which are layered with dusty cedar and loam. The palate is vibrant and concentrated; bursting with ripe black cherries, plum, currant and blackberry which are balanced with well structured tannins providing a lasting grip while maintaining a refined elegance.

The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon is terrific. There is plenty of varietal character and sheer personality in this beautifully delineated Cabernet Sauvignon. Dark red fruit, grilled herbs, tobacco and spices flow through gracefully in this medium-bodied, harmonious offering, which gains intensity with air. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2020.

Wine Enthusiast
This is a big, rich Cabernet, loaded with gobs of lip-smacking blackberry, cherry, currant and oak flavors. Couldn't be riper, and the tannins are soft and smooth. A little obvious in its charms, but a real crowd pleaser.

This supple-textured red shows ripe plum, cherry and currant notes that are open-knit and easy-drinking. Complex, if on a modest scale, ending with an elegant spice, cedar and light mineral edge. Drink now through 2018.

Sustainable practices incorporate organic standards and may exceed them and include ecologically and socially sound business practices such as fair pay for farm workers and energy conservation.
Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.

I still believe it is the simplest way to rate a wine, with its origins from grade school in the United States. A wine that I rate 90 points or more is outstanding (A), and worth buying.
