Fresh and aromatic, fruity and floral with hints of dried fruit. Light with fruit notes, nutty flavours with a sweetness and slight hints of vanilla and caramel. Long and lingering, rich, full-bodied and a hint of sea salt.
Unlike other distilleries on Islay, Bunnahabhain is known for its iconic, unpeated Islay Single Malt Whisky. Situated on the Sound of Islay, Bunnahabhain is the most northerly distillery, only accessible by boat until 1960. Now by single track road, it is an adventure for whisky enthusiasts. Bunnahabhain's pear-shaped stills are the tallest on Islay. Their unusually long swan necks promote a lighter, delicate spirit character as heavier flavour compounds can't reach the summit. Non-chill filtered with no added color, Bunnahabhain is a robust, oily spirit that stands up to full maturation in sherry and bottlings at cask strength.

Our 12 Year Old Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky was the beginning of our Bunnahabhain core range, launched to fanfare and praise alike. Non-chill filtered and natural colour, taste the origins of Bunnahabhain with an alluring balance of sweet fruit, nuts, vanilla and a delicate coastal influence.

The flagship label, aged in a mix of bourbon and sherry casks. Fresh lemons, vanilla pound cake, candle wax, and sweet dark fruits on the nose. Rich, soft, and floral on the palate, with notes of melted butterscotch, chocolate, raisins, cocoa powder, and whipped cream, all deliciously balanced. The finish offers plum pudding and chocolate ice cream. Pleasantly light-bodied but complex, given weight by its nicely hefty ABV.
