The Singleton of Glendullan is distilled at the Glendullan distillery in Speyside, the heart of Scottish malt whisky production. The Singleton of Glendullan has an aroma of roasted nuts with rich fruit, with notes of blackcurrant, brown sugar and coffee on the palate - before an elegantly drying and crisp finish. The Singleton of Glendullan 12 Year Old has the right flavor profile for malt whisky novices due to its smooth, rich and approachable taste. Serving suggestion: Best served neat to enjoy the full, rich fruit and vanilla notes.
The Singleton Description
Approachable and rich. First polished wood and nuts (toasted hazelnut) dominate, then stewed fruits (baked apples), dried fruits (sweet dates), and soft brown sugar take over. Mossy too, after a while. With water, a sweeter, more direct Speyside character develops (pure pear drops!). Clean and dense. After a while, warm, dry, aromas, of pencil shavings or match-sticks. Sweetness and crunchy nuts impress at first, then there’s a smooth, fruity Speyside richness to enjoy. Firm, with a balancing sweetness. Brown sugar and espresso coffee. Warming and pleasant. With water, still a pleasant texture. Light sweetness, then chewy and balanced by light acidity, with a good spread of flavours mid-palate. Medium to long finish, elegantly drying and crisp, completed by a pleasant, sweetly nutty chew-ability.
