Château Suduiraut, classed as a Premier Cru in 1855, is made from grapes selected from the finest terroirs of the property. This wine is hand crafted at every stage of its elaboration and reveals remarkable finesse and complexity and a golden colour reminiscent of the sun that made it possible. With age the bright gold evolves to a dark amber colour. With an extensive life-span, it powerfully and harmoniously combines fruit and floral aromas with roasted and candied notes.

Château Suduiraut 2022 reveals a deep golden yellow colour, reflecting the richness of the vintage. The nose is both delicate, with notes of rose, white flowers, lychee and clove, and powerful, with aromas of smoke, candied fruit, roasted pineapple and passion fruit. The attack is rich, the palate voluptuous and full-bodied, with flavours of yellow peach in syrup, spices and vanilla. The finish is very clean without being heavy, despite the richness of this vintage. The terroir is there to balance this power and bring back elegance. The 2022 is an exceptional wine, rich and exuberant, which will delight lovers of powerful wines and will become a must-have after a few decades in the bottle.

So many aromas of dried apricots, turmeric, pine nuts and botrytis. Full-bodied with 190 grams of sugar and incredible length and richness. The salted caramel, light nuts and dried fruit go on for minutes. 100% semillon. A great sweet wine. Drinkable already but will age for ages. Better in three or four years but already gorgeous.

The 2022 Suduiraut conveys a sense of sophistication on the nose, very well defined and a little oakier, but there is complexity. The palate is wonderful, with superb delineation, pure botrytised fruit, gentle grip and genuine mineralité on the finish. This might well constitute the best Sauternes that you can buy in 2022.

A plump, broad style, with marzipan, toasted almond and bitter orange notes leading the way for mango, creamed peach and papaya flavors. Rich and honeyed, but with an alluring, shimmering energy through its long finish.

The 2022 Suduiraut reveals a deep, complex bouquet of ripe orchard fruits, caramel, spices and mango. Medium to full-bodied, enveloping and mouth-coating, it’s long and fleshy with great depth at the core and a long, mineral, orchard fruits-inflected finish. Entirely crafted from Sémillon and matured for 18 months in barrels (70% were new barrels), this is a classic in the making and a superb Sauternes.
