Chateau des Jacques Description
Full bodied yet supple red wine from gamay vines in the prestigious Moulin-a-Vent Cru Beaujolais zone. Old vines here are ideally suited to the harsh summer conditions and the unique pink granite soils. These wines are fermented slowly with natural yeasts, and aged in concrete vats, stainless steel tanks, and oak barrels. The final assemblage is a true ambassador for this fine Cru of Beaujolais.
Wine Advocate: 92 Points
Aromas of raspberries, rose petals, warm spices and orange rind introduce the 2019 Moulin-à-Vent, a medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy wine that's lively and concentrated, with melting tannins and a fragrant finish. It's typical of the seamless, satiny and perfumed style of the 2019 vintage at the Château des Jacques.
Wine Spectator: 90 Points
Elegant, offering an alluring note of pureed raspberry accented by hints of stone, anise, cherry blossom and dried thyme. The fresh finish shows lightly chewy tannins.
