Denis Jeandeau Description
Denis is the 5th generation of winemaker in his family. At a very young age he decided to study wines and then travel around the world and within France to gain more experience. He worked for five years in the family estate that he converted to organic farming before creating his own in 2006. Denis often speaks about his ancestors and how they influenced his meticulous work in the vines. Today, all the vineyards are ploughed and sometimes with the use of a horse. He owns 1ha in Vire-Clesse that are certified organic and buys fruits from 3.5ha in Pouilly-Fuisse and Saint-Veran (organic). All the grapes are hand harvested ripe in small picking baskets. The yields are limited to 45hl/ha. To preserve the terroir, all the wines go through native yeasts fermentation and are aged in used barriques.

The 2020 Pouilly-Fuissé Vieilles Vignes is the richest, most demonstrative wine in the range, delivering aromas of peach, citrus oil, nutmeg and freshly baked bread. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, with a generous but vibrant core of fruit and a long, saline finish, it will drink well young.
