Deep ruby red color of impressive intensity. The small cask has gently released the spices from the oak that are deeply going along with the fine and elegant Sangiovese aromas. Great structure and ripe tannins are in balance with volume and acidity. Harmony and elegance express the perfect vintage. Long, clean and mineral finish.

Generous vintage! Cold spring with few rains. Summer started off with copious rains and continued with regular temperatures. Storage of water reserve led to a rich vegetative development. During september, sunny days and fresh nights helped the grapes to reach ideal maturation.

The 2019 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva launches from the glass with a mix of crushed black raspberries, underbrush, tobacco and sage. It balances silken textures with vividly ripe wild berry fruits and citrus-tinged spices, all guided by juicy acidity. It finishes with staining length and concentration, leaving edgy tannins and a resonance of salted licorice, yet it remains energetic and spry.

A very classic riserva, showing a smoky and complex style, depth of licorice and lush black-cherry fruit. The attack is firm yet balanced with juicy acidity and slightly grainy to velvety tannins. Full-bodied, it shows potential for aging but is ready to drink now as well.
