Laurent-Perrier Description
The colour is a pale golden hue, with fine and persistent bubbles. The nose is fresh and delicate, showing good complexity with its hints of citrus and white fruit. With its elegant style, Brut L-P has led the way in making champagne the ideal ap?ritif. Perfectly balanced, with crisp flavours and finesse, it is also an ideal companion for fish, poultry and white meat.
James Suckling: 94 Points
Rich and layered with pie crust and dried apples. Hints of baked bread. Medium-bodied and structured with solid intensity. Lightly chewy with a flavorful finish. Some white pepper and just a hint of energetic bitterness. Reserve wines of 2019 and 2018. 52% chardonnay, 32% pinot noir and 16% pinot meunier. Dosage about 8 g/L. Drink now.
Wine Spectator: 91 Points
Fresh and harmonious, with a minerally overtone and satinlike texture, this shows a subtle mesh of poached pear and white cherry, tangerine peel, blanched almond and pickled ginger flavors that expands through the finish. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Drink now.
Wine Advocate: 91 Points
Evoking aromas of menthol, white fruits, lemon oil and warm biscuits, the NV Brut La Cuvée possesses a medium to full-bodied, round and supple palate with good depth at the core and a charming, fresh, ethereal finish. For this release, the percentage of Chardonnay in this cuvée has been slightly increased, making it a blend of 52% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 13% Pinot Meunier.
Wine Enthusiast: 91 Points
The emphasis is on sweet fruit, with a citrus tang—grapefruit, skin of lime, and nectarine. Fruit dominates the mid-palate, and the flavors are subtly delineated by a slightly chalky, mineral backdrop. Leads into a long, lime and wet stone finish.
Vinous: 90 Points
Vivid yellow. Fresh pear and yellow apple on the perfumed nose and in the mouth. In a chewy, expansive style, but with good clarity and thrust. The pear note repeats on the persistent finish, which leaves notes of toasty lees, iodine and honeysuckle behind.
