Sleek, tart and energetic with an earthy and leafy presence which shifts to citrus zest over the long finish.
Louis Jadot Description
Medium-full bodied dry white wine expressive of the unique Chablis Kimmeridgean subsoil terroir. As the climate inevitably warms these sites achieve a new balanced ripening that accentuates their inherent citrus and stony essence.

Outstanding
Aromatically, this could be from nowhere else but Chablis as there are plenty of the hallmark nuances of shellfish, algae, iodine, citrus and a hint of green apple. There is also good verve and reasonable volume to the nicely concentrated and textured flavors that possess solid detail and minerality on the balanced, complex and lingering finish. Remarkably enough, this is actually more interesting than either the Fourchaume or the Montée de Tonnerre, something that one wouldn't necessarily expect. Worth a look, plus it should drink well young or with mid-term aging.
Wine Spectator: 90 Points
A lush style, this delivers peach, quince and mirabelle plum flavors shaded with baking spice accents. Verges on creamy in texture, gaining focus as the tangy acidity emerges.
Vinous: 90 Points
The 2022 Chablis Vaillons 1er Cru has more mineralite on the nose than some of its peers: crushed limestone filtering through the malic scents and a slight algae-like aroma. The palate is well-balanced with a keen thread of acidity, seductive orange pith and citrus notes. The 2022 has a composed and harmonious finish. This is a well-made and delicious Vaillons.
