Santenay Clos Rousseau delivers a complex, delicate and fruity nose (red fruits). The palate is very fleshy and concentrated, offering flavors of sour cherry and stone fruit. Pairings with red meats and other grilled meats. With aromas of ripe red fruits, almonds and earth, this is an elegant wine with depth and potent tannins. It will develop in the bottle for 5 to 10 years.

The Clos Rousseau always plays a game of contrasts, it's powerful and elegant. The tannins are always very fine, giving structure to the purple fruit and floral notes. It's a beautiful expression of Santenay. Clos Rousseau is located at the west far end of the Santenay Climats, next to Maranges. This hill is south-east oriented. Grapes ripe earlier than the in the village of Santenay. Clos Rousseau is located on a mid-slope on stony soils.
