The Odette Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Stags Leap District, offers notes of freshly baked cinnamon rolls and blueberry pancakes hot off the griddle. The vintage’s heat is reflected in an aromatic school of Red Swedish Fish with a splash of graphite minerality. On the palate, layers of juicy raspberry, candied walnut, and cola ride fine-grain tannins to a mouth-watering finish of vanilla, toasted oak, and cacao.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is an especially opulent, full-throttle wine off this site. Racy and sumptuous to the core, the Estate is a terrific example of the extroverted side of the vintage. Inky fruit, chocolate, new leather and spice build as this sumptuous Cabernet shows off its curves. I imagine the 2019 will drink well with minimal cellaring.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is a blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 6% Malbec and 2% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple in color, is prances out of the glass with vibrant blackberries, redcurrant jelly and cassis notes with hints of mocha, Indian spices and bay leaves. Full-bodied with flamboyant black fruits and velvety tannins in the mouth, it has a refreshing backbone and long, spicy finish.

Ripe and direct, with a polished beam of raspberry and black cherry paste flavors lined with hints of black licorice, roasted apple wood and warm fruitcake.
