This is a graceful Chardonnay with inviting aromas of apricot, honeysuckle, white peach, and brioche with a mineral-floral note. This is a muscular and powerful expression from Stag's Leap Wine Cellars. The last few vintages have seen an increase in quality, as much due to California's clement weather as to changes made in the vineyards and winery since Stag's Leap's purchase by Antinori. Classic toasty oak and tropical fruit notes leap from the glass and echo on the palate, which is full-bodied and superbly well-balanced. Powerful stuff.
