Typified by fresh and lively strawberry aromas, and with a soft texture plus abundant fruit on the palate, this is an ideal casual yet authentic red Burgundy at the villages level. This wine is most enjoyable when young and exuberant although will age for several years.
Famille Gagey
Jadot Description
This is a village wine from the single vineyard of Les Beaumonts. This vineyard has the distinction of lying West of the famous RN 74 highway, situated among the high-quality terroirs of Savigny and Aloxe-Corton. Production adheres to customary Jadot practices – manual harvest, natural yeast fermentation, and aging in oak for 18 months.

Outstanding
A more subtle though still 'visible' touch of wood frames the spicy aromas of plum, red currant and just turned earth. The sleek, vibrant and lilting flavors possess an unusually refined mouthfeel in the context of what is typical for Chorey reds, all wrapped in a balanced and chiseled finish. This is terrific for what it is plus it should drink well both young and with mid-term cellaring.
Wine Advocate: 91 Points
Aromas of plums, raw cocoa, spices and rose petals preface the 2019 Chorey-lès-Beaune Beaumonts (Domaine Gagey), a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and dynamic wine that's supple and enveloping. From one of the few lieux-dits located on the right site of the route nationale, this is frequently a fine value in the portfolio.
Wine Enthusiast: 91 Points
A wispy veil of sweet char and smoke lends warmth to bright, cutting notes of raspberry and sour cherry here. Full bodied and deeply concentrated yet brisk in acidity, it's a squarely structured Pinot Noir framed by a fine-grained edge of tannins. Approachable now but will hold through 2030.
