The village of Morey Saint Denis presents 5 Grands Crus and 17 Premiers Crus including the Clos des Ormes located to the north of the village next to the other premiers crus Aux Chezeaux, Aux Charmes, Les Charrières. The soil consists in clay and chalk allowing it to be well drained.

The 2018 Morey Saint Denis Clos des Ormes 1er Cru has plenty of rather rustic red berry fruit on the nose, which is slightly ferrous in style and nicely defined. The medium-bodied palate offers chewy red fruit and moderate depth.
