Generous aromas of plums and cassis on the nose, with a touch of cedar that elegantly underlies the rich dark fruits on the nose. The wine is rich and full bodied on the palate, the acidity is supple, supporting the ripe plum, dark cherry fruit flavors. Alongside these you have hints of cacao, a touch of espresso bean and slight vanilla. The smooth tannins follow through to drive the finish, giving longevity to the palate.

Vineyard Notes
Sourced from vineyards throughout Napa Valley and combining a selection of different clones of Cabernet Sauvignon. The aim was to craft a Cabernet Sauvignon wine from some of our most reliable vineyards, delivering unequalled quality and value.
Winemaker Notes
Hand harvested in the early morning, the grapes were then delivered to the winery where they were hand sorted before being destemmed and partially crushed. Five days cold soak followed by a 14-day warm fermentation with two pump overs per day. The wine was pressed off and barreled down in 30% new French oak where it underwent natural malolactic fermentation. The wines then underwent 13 months élevage in 70% once used oak barrels before they were blended. Wine was then lightly filtered before bottling.
Vintage Notes
2021 started off gently with sunny skies and a warm spring. But as the spring wore on with little rain, it became clear that 2021 would be a drought year. As the dry but beautifully sunny summer continued, winemakers prepared for a lightened crop load, yet the valley drifted into a beautiful fall as the weather ended being perfect. The grapes were in perfect condition leading to another great Napa Valley vintage showcasing wines with powerful and intense flavor.
Daniel Hernandez-Brun for K&D: 95 Points
This really is a stupendous wine for the price. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is unique and worth pursuing on its own merit. This is rustic without being austere, powerful but not overpowering, and extremely flavorful and complementary at the dinner table. Think red meat and hearty roast or grilled veggies. I’m getting a lot of boysenberry, leaf tobacco, coffee bean, and an extremely pleasant dried herbal undertone. It’s also beautifully balanced, with the buttressing tannin and subtle yet persistent acidity maintaining a solid framework for the flavors to live in.
James Suckling: 93 Points
Aromas of black cherries, cassis, spice box, walnut and graphite. Firm and lengthy with a full body and compact tannin structure. Dense and wide with a chocolaty finish.
